About the G-STIC Climate Action Programme
The G-STIC Climate Action Programme was launched by the Government of Flanders in 2021 to support developing countries in the fight against climate change. This programme provides subsidies for dissemination, capacity building and demonstration projects in which Flemish organisations participate. By providing financial support to projects for climate change adaptation and mitigation, the G-STIC Climate Action Programme aims to strengthen developing countries' implementation of climate policies, strategies, regulations and action plans.
The first call of the G-STIC Climate Action Programme resulted in 65 project proposals. These were evaluated by an independent jury under the coordination of the Flemish Department of Environment & Spatial Development. Twelve projects were approved in 2021 with a total project budget of €4,563,297 (€3,017,724 subsidy).
